CITY HOSTS DESIGN OPEN HOUSE
On August 30, 41 community members attended an informational open house at the future Wetlands Complex site. During the open house, the City and project consultants shared 30% design elements, site layouts, and answered questions.

On-site Field Work Continues
Neighbors can expect to see continued activity on both City of Redmond and BLM property through mid-November. Activities include geotechnical exploration and site survey work. During the survey, plastic flagging and stakes may be used to mark the location of these features. The flagging and stakes are not marking locations of proposed construction activities.
“I support the Redmond City plan for a more passive sewage treatment facility like the Crooked River Wetlands in Prineville. Besides the primary goal, I see many other benefits. I am a birder, retired high school biology teacher who enjoys visits to the Crooked River Wetlands. There are always people hiking the trails, birding, and sometimes school classes on field trips for good outdoor education.”

Project Timeline
The City will begin the final design phase of the Redmond Wetlands Complex after the 30% review. The final design is expected to be completed in the spring of 2023, with construction beginning in the summer of 2023.
